Employee Benefits Practice Leader

Jim Hayes is responsible for developing customized and unique employee benefit strategies for our clients which affords them the ability to make impactful and educated decisions about their long-term plans. He utilizes his 30+ years of industry experience to assist clients with enhancing their operational efficiencies by designing and implementing effective cost reduction strategies while maintaining the integrity of the employee benefit offerings. During his extensive career, Jim has gained a comprehensive knowledge of the Life and Health products available in both the local and national marketplace. His prior experience includes a long-term role at Allmerica Financial Corporation, where he served as Director of Underwriting for the company’s Employee Benefit division. His duties included managing their underwriting team highlighted by a strong focus on profitability and growth which he was able to sustain for an extensive period of time. Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Massachusetts. He is also a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), having received that designation from The American College.
